    Little G.’s challenge for the month was learning to crawl. After plenty of practice and Mum’s tireless coaching, he’s now on the move. His style might not win any awards for elegance, but it gets him exactly where he wants to be.

    On our first road trip with baby G, we spent nearly a week in Christchurch. It’s basically a full day’s drive each way, but he handled it beautifully – thanks to plenty of extra naps along the journey. Once there, we leaned into the city rhythm and made the most of long, relaxed stroller walks.

    We’re currently at 8.2kg and it shows! This boy is getting heavier to carry around by the day. A newly introduced skill this month is putting his tongue out very wide and for a long time.

    This boy is getting more cute by the day. He rewards us with his big eyes and wide smiles.

    Oh boy. From 4 to 6 kg in less than two months. The newborn stage is clearly over and we’re experiencing an increasingly interactive baby, yay! Newly acquired skills: Smiles and giggles, especially in the mornings; Fast head turns from left to right and back; grabbing things with the hands; and more.
