Five months old

On our first road trip with baby G, we spent nearly a week in Christchurch. It’s basically a full day’s drive each way, but he handled it beautifully – thanks to plenty of extra naps along the journey. Once there, we leaned into the city rhythm and made the most of long, relaxed stroller walks.

We’re on solid food now.
Not THAT solid, though. 😄
Hanging out with mum.
Hanging out with dad.
Hanging out with friends at the playgroup.
Hanging on mum.
Sitting on dad.
Standing on his own.
Giving us many many smiles.
Giving us occasional sleeps.
Tired burps at night.
The roman emperor outfit.

Experiencing the sea at Dummy Bay.
He’s not so into the views, though.
Back home: Reading lesson.
Kicking mum in the back: ‘You shall not sleep.’
Toothless smile.
Wide open smile.
Tongue out smile.
On our way to Christchurch, charging stopover in Kaikoura.
‘Get me out of here.’
Going shopping? Again?
The botanical gardens are beauuutiful.
Can we have that at home, please?
The old city tram line.
Stopover at the Lewis Pass Alpine Nature Walk on the way back.
Effortlessly turning now.
‘What did you just say? A cold bath?!’
Snack time.
‘I can hold that sign by myself now.’
‘Look, I’m 5 months old.’
Can’t yet crawl…
… but can reach things!
The boys.
Getting closer to a half birthday.
Good night.
